I had the pleasure of attending the TeleStrategies "Revenue Assurance & Margin Management" conference in Scottsdale, Arizona the other week and was impressed with the attendance and coverage of topics. Increasingly, companies are acknowledging the importance of revenue assurance and the presentations, roundtables and impromptu discussions illustrated this trend. Speaking of revenue assurance, ATS is celebrating our flagship product SimCalls 10th anniversary in the month of November. SimCall has revealed an estimated amount in excess of $1 billion in revenues leaking at the switch for our customers over the last several years, so we feel justly proud of it! TeleStrategies Revenue Assurance & Margin Management conference drew approximately 200 to 250 professionals, including many service providers and executives, to Scottsdale, AZ in mid October from as far away as Taiwan. Consisting of an exhibit hall and a day and a half of presentations and roundtable discussions, as well as a tutorial, the conference covered nearly everything under the sun in revenue assurance. Increasingly, companies are acknowledging the importance of revenue assurance initiatives, especially in these difficult times for the industry and the attendance and lively discussion illustrated this trend. Wireless carriers are required to implement thousands-block number pooling, which includes both reporting and network upgrade requirements, by November 24 of this year. Meanwhile, California seeks to increase the number pooling contamination threshhold from 10 to 25 percent. [More] [Top of Page]
Especially because the telecom industry has been hit so hard financially this past year, executives are increasingly turning to revenue and service assurance measures to get the most out of their existing network assets. There are many ways revenues can slip through the cracks.
