Code and CIC Management Code (NPANXX) Management Code Management provides the automated interface to switches in the telecom network in order to add, change or delete codes. These changes are according to a database feed from an external source. External sources include Telcordia's LERG or client managed database or system. Codes are maintained in NetMan's database of valid codes and are compared to actual translation data pulled from the switch and also maintained in the database. Differences are presented as Change Request Tasks to the NetMan user for approval. Approved Tasks result in changes being made to the switch at pre-configured times. Code adds are performed following business rules established by the client as “route like” adds or by using the extended routing database capability of MTP to provide full route information managed by NetMan users. These changes are made according to a database feed from an external source, such as EXACT or other client managed database or system. CIC's are maintained in NetMan's database of valid codes and are compared to actual translation data pulled from the switch. As with other functions, differences are presented as Change Request Tasks to the NetMan user for approval. Approved Tasks result in changes being made to the switch at pre-configured times. |
