Wireless Solutions Overview

ATS provides wireless service organizations with comprehensive network traffic analysis and reporting tools. These tools are designed with several objectives in mind:

• To help meet the requirements imposed by Federal agencies
• To help, proactively monitor and manage subscriber usage
• To help analyze network capacity and efficiency
• To verify inter-carrier invoices
• To more effectively manage network capacity, creating a leaner network while enhancing customer performance

Most recently, ATS has worked with Wireless service providers to reduce their contributions to the Universal Service Fund (USF) by completing a PIU analysis.  In June 2006, the FCC adopted an order that increased the Safe Harbor contribution percentage for the federal USF from 28.5% to 37.1%. For carriers that continue to rely on the Safe Harbor, an increase of 9% is significant and can result in upwards of millions of dollars of additional contributions to the federal USF.  By performing a PIU analysis, the carrier may be able to find that their actual PIU is lower than the safe harbor percentage given by the FCC. These findings could greatly reduce the amount of money that the carrier has to contribute to the USF.
