IXC Billing Verification

Business Issue:  Monitoring IXC-Vendor performance or invoicing is difficult at best.  Engineering personnel has to rely on using Customer Service data to compare with actual long distance bills to identify questionable terminations.  Data from customer care systems is summary in nature and up to 30 days late when available, plus IXC-Vendor bills arrive from 30 to 45-business days after the traffic. 

CDR Applicability:  Use of CDRs coupled with LERG-data can provide detailed information about inter- & intra-LATA abnormalities in terminations.  CDR data can be available within hours for analysis by engineering personnel.
